Scott messes and save sharks
Cologne - now it is 21 clock in the Cologne Arena. A long evening of ice goes in the very hot phase. A hammer game, a hammer-finals. The penalty shootout must serve to determine between Cologne and Frankfurt, a victor.
Jason Young will start to turn whittles the puck on the trowel of KEC-keeper Travis Scott. Scott is on the ground like a beetle, the disc he has in mind. That second last forever, in the Arena (formerly a bustling cauldron), it is mucksmäuschen quiet. Everyone looks at the target. She turns, whirling through the air, flying out high over Scott.
Collective feeling of slow motion. Then the puck millimeters jumps onto the ice in front of the line. Scott wipes it off permanently, and explodes the mood. Sharks win in the eighth-Series is perfect. Cologne - Frankfurt 4-3 after penalty shootout. The decisive results achieved for Cologne Sean Tallaire before Scott saves the day.
But it was the final class, so bad was the start. Already in the third minute shocks ex-Cologne Lasse Kopitz the sharks. His powerful shot wriggling in the net from goalie Travis Scott. Okay, is not untenable. Also in 0:2 by Jay Henderson before he lets the puck slide out of his glove. But in the end it makes it all good.
In the last ten minutes become the most exciting match so far this season. Tallaire and Čiernik (brings eleven goals in eleven games) get the balance, Jeff Heerema Frankfurt is once again in the lead, and 22 seconds before the end saves Mats Trygg the sharks with a hammer into overtime.
KEC coach Doug Mason: "It was the first time that we were nervous. Frankfurt was the season of the tactically best prepared opponents. This was a top game. "
